When I was a kid, there was a movie on TV about Howard Hughes. The thing I remember about the movie is that Hughes had an engineer/mechanic working on a steam car that Hughes was interested in marketing. Hughes walked into the room and this engineer was blabbering on and on about the features that this steam car had. Hughes picked up a crowbar, threw it at the passenger door and one of the cooling tanks ruptured and spewed steam/water vapor for 20 feet. As Hughes walked out of the room, he told his engineer to scrap the steam car project. Now I know this was made for TV and probably had few facts to it, but it was entertaining. As cars get old, one of the things that might eventually leak is the radiator. Can you imagine what that boiler would do when it gets old and weak?

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
