I was going to ask if he has been to an AGCO or Case dealer lately. They are no shame for pricing high. Just soak you with no issue. they make Deere parts look cheap anymore. I also find they all are some high and some not so much. Depends on the parts. I just bought seed disc's a couple weeks ago from Deere for the White planter. When I called he asked if they would fit. I brought one of the old ones a new one from shoup and a new one from AGCO dealer. Deere was the same as Shoup except for the color of the hub and Deere disc said made in USA on the disc while the shoup said made in Canada I believe like the White disc did. Deere ships the cap in the hub and gets flattened a bit while shoup ships them separate so they are not flattened. Put 22 Deere discs on the planter.
