Oh how I hate my local Deere dealer. They are one nose stuck in the air crowd now that they have bought out about every Deere dealer in SE La. Lost the key for X350 mower. John Deere site using my dealer says it is in stock for $2.82 Local dealer web site says 360 available and 20 in stock at this location for $3.38 Thats Deere list price plus 20 percent. About typical for my dealer for over the counter parts. And do not tell them you need a not in stock item. The shipping will kill you. And they wonder why I order most of my parts from a out of town dealer over the internet.
I realize we are only talking a few cents for this item. That is why I went to town and got it. I need it today so I am willing to pay the 20 percent markup. But Deere parts are expensive enough without having to pay list plus 20 percent for all the parts you may need like belts blades or oil change kits.
