Looking north down Main Street in the famous Kansas ghost town of Neosho Falls .....Its hard to believe that at one time it had 1200 residents and 3 blocks of business buildings..The record July 13,1951 flood ruined this town...The water got as deep as 16 ft on Main Street...It had rained 9-10 inches in June of 1951..Then from July 9-12th,1951 lots of eastern Kansas got 16-19 inches of rain...After the flood most business owners just left...For many years after the buildings stood there with the flood damaged inventory until they all finally fell down..The last ones went down around 2010.
