My suggestion is similar to Jims, except I would stay away from the key slot for this try. Torch a hole in the stump thing to where you can get at the hub with the torch, with your pulling apparatus in place. Install a No. 3 tip in your torch burn a line in the hub straight up toward the gear box, while you have force on the jack. You want the biggest tip possible because you need to cut fast, before the shaft heats up; you cant cut the shaft unless it is red hot. But Im guessing it will pop before you get all the way down to the shaft anyway. With this method, you can save the hub by welding the slot you cut back together.
