Had a similar situation on my 730 standard. Couldn't get it to move using the book instructions. Soaked for many days with PB blaster, etc. Ask my son, who is a Deere mechanic. He told me to take a large sledge hammer and wap the axle, NOT on the end, but on the side. Being skeptical about marring the axle, I wrapped a piece of light tin around it. About the second or third hit, it popped loose and I could move it using the pinon bolt. That was my experience. There have been many different ways folks on here have gotten them loose and I'm sure there are lots of them that work. Just my experience.
