First, how do the 2 pusher bolts look? Are they pitted and ate up? If they look bad screw them out completely. They have a soft metal keeper on them and you will ruin that. Blow out the threads and lube them good and get a good used set of pusher bolts or brand new ones. Jack up the tractor and remove the other 3 bolts. Screw in the pushers untill tight. We always hit the very end of the axle a few hits with a big sledge hammer and then try to tighten each of the pushers. After the wedge comes loose do not be surprised if the pinion bolt will not turn. Spin the center on the axle untill the pinion bolt is not touching the axle and then you can work on freeing it up. Did a 3020 last week that the pinion was so rusty I just moved the center on the axle without even freeing it up. Often you get lucky and your pusher bolts do not need to be replaced but it is no fun when you twist one off. Dad had a 4010 once that we ended up getting a jack hammer and removed the wedge in pieces. I have a 3020 to do next week that is going to be a real challenge. Clean everything well before putting back together. Tom
