Farmall Super A starter was hit or miss last year.
Upon pushing the button often nothing would happen then randomly it would fire right up. I put oil in the little filler hole, but there wasn't much of a difference it was all or nothing, it seems to be an electrical contact issue.
This year so far the starter won't turn over at all. Is the starter serviceable or should I just buy a new one?
Also we started it with compression and it ran fine for about 5 minutes the stopped suddenly, I read something about priming the oil pump after it sitting for a few months, could that be an issue? I've never done that in the past...
