Golden Jubilee or not?

I recently purchased a 59 or 60 Jubilee or though I thought I did. The tractor has a 601 on the side; however, after researching I have found out that they only made the Jubilee in 53 & 54. Is this correct? If it is a 601, is this considered a respectable tractor compared to the Jubilee. I only paid $1,500 for it in good running condition. All it needs is the head gasket replaced.
