Only thing I can add is be sure the oil level is correct. If you can find the factory spec on how much, fill it with that amount and compare that to the dipstick, just in case it has the wrong dipstick.
Also be sure the crankcase vent is clean and free, the thermostat is in and working, and the carb high speed is set properly. Too rich will cause smoke and overtime contaminate and raise the oil level. If it has a fuel pump be sure it is not leaking into the crankcase.
