I definitely do not trust car dealerships either. We bought a brand new Dodge 1/2 ton in 2018, there was 25% off at the time so we were able to get a really nice truck for a reasonable amount of money at the time. Last year they called and told me they had on record our truck was 3 years old , part of the previous model line and wanted to know if wed be interested in trading up. I said I didnt know what were they offering? They had a new truck with the same options as ours for $103 999 CDN plus HST (15% sales tax). I said ok what will you give us for ours, they said of course theyd have to evaluate it but based on the model and mileage (around 60 000mi) they could potentially give us $30 000. So trade plus tax for a 1/2 ton gas would have stung us just under $90 000 CDN to come up 3 years. I said absolutely not and please dont ask again. To add insult to injury they just so happened to have a truck identical to ours on their lot and coincidentally very close in mileage and they wanted $45 000 for it but told us ours was only worth $30 000. I know its just business and I cant scarcely imagine their overhead and monthly expenses but thats not my problem and we still love our current truck.

Amana Colonies served as a respite where we ate a family style lunch that sustained us with more food than could reasonably fit into our ample physiques. The show at Ankeny
