Three Years ago I had help getting the snow blower off the Allis 5020. It didn't go real smooth. Being the one on the tractor I thought I would need someone to help get it on. I thought I had help lined up a few weeks back but it didn't work out. I burned the dead grass from around it and set in my chair trying to figure out what could have been the problem before. I failed to see why we had any type of a problem with removing it. I took a chain and lifted it up on a pallet, brought the 5020 around and see I can jack the arm up and drive in and get the pins in with a pry bar. My only problem will getting the power take off shaft lined up and move the tractor in to slide it together. I think I can solve that with a rope around the rear tire to pull it tractor in enough I can drive the tractor in farther. I will try that one-day next week. I spent an hour with Prancer on whoa and standing straight when stopping along with the difference in stepping up a step at a time and telling him to walk up. It went really well.
After chores I picked up chuncks of assault I had piled in the yard that would not work into the drives. While doing so I received a call from Dixie that she had fell in the kitchen. With my body in such disrepair, I had to call 911 for help. Two guys showed up in the squad and shortly after six or more huge fellows came in along with those down the hall I could't actually see. I have thought I was above average size at 6'2 but I didn't know Edon had that many very large men. Oh, one short but large lady as well. Dixie was and is fine this morning with a little soreness. She was taking dishes and pans out of the bottom drawer of the dishwasher and leaned away to deposit something on a counted behind her without standing uo and was out of ballence enough to lose her grip in the counter the dishwasher is under.

Today's Featured Article - Grain Threshing in the Early 40's - by Jerry D. Coleman. How many of you can sit there and say that you have plowed with a mule? Well I would say not many, but maybe a few. This story is about the day my Grandfather Brown (true name) decided along with my parents to purchase a new Ford tractor. It wasn't really new except to us. The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
