So, talking to my neighbor lady, her mom is trying to sell her recently departed husband's 1980 Scout 2. Said someone is offering her 10k. I asked if i might look at it. Rolled up the garage door and wow. Very well maintained, and full of options. It's got a V8, not the 4cyl, AC, 4x4, interior super clean, outside very strait, some light surface rust in a couple places. The rear of one rocker is starting to rust, but felt solid, the other rocker good. Underneath is beautiful. I would rate very good to excellent. Pulled up a valuation site and it said that unit, in good condition, with 4cyl is $31,500. Need some input from those who know. Is that a genuine valuation, and what might this unit be worth with big motor, AC, etc.?? They asked me to dinner tonight to tell their mom. I told them, obviously, do not sell it to anyone until we know more.

If it would just start when I turn the key, then I would use it more often. In addition to a bad case of old age, most of the tractor's original electrical system was simply too unreliable to keep.
