A couple things you need to clear up. Brush removal OR bush removal. I used a 1650 cockshutt with a front end loader and removed all the brush and bush anyone would want to. You say you don't want to use a loader, I don't know how big your trees are or if you want to remove brush, brush can be removed with a 3point brush mower and that will chew up to 2.5 inch poplar tree, scrub, brush, but not if it is say oak or something like it. As far as reclaiming it for animals, just fence it and put the animals in, they don't need it cleared, they will clear it themselves. Now goats will eat anything under an inch thick and so will sheep and most cows. doesn't take a big tractor to do a bit of land tillage at 5-6 ft wide. If you put in animals and make sure you have enough to eat it all up there will only be large trees standing and that can be cut 1 inch of the ground with a chain saw and stump can rot unless you are planning on cultivating it in the near future. Hot dry land I assume there is no tree over 4 inch diameter in 10 years but could be very wrong. I would say 40-50Hp is all you need. 3point, live pto, live hydraulics, power steering,
