Some good news for you and reason to figure The glass is half FULL!
Back in 2013 I had terrible stomach pain....couldn't get it to stop. Went to the local hospital 25 miles away and had a doctor insert a fiber optic tube down my throat and look at my stomach. What she found was that there was a huge Lymphoma cancerous tumor at the outlet of my stomach, blocking passage of most things including stomach acid.
At the same hospital, she referred me to their cancer center. Discussions resulted in a chemotherapy program of 6 treatments, one per month. I don't remember the particulars, but in about 3 days from the start of the treatment I felt release. I lost my hair and fingernails didn't like it. Regardless, the treatment ended and it has been 10 years and no further problems with that....the hair and nails grew back just fine.
I had enlarged prostate surgery back in December (couldn't pee) and had what they call boring the apple type surgery. That went very well with no pain and has healed. However, in the process of having tests and all that, I was informed that I had a tumor blocking my lower GI tract (of which I was aware but had no idea as to what was going on)...not colon cancer but a blob of Lymphoma cancer in my pelvic region starting to block my large intestine. The observing ER Dr. suggested I see my cancer Dr.
Off to see the same Dr. as 10 years ago, same hospital, and I have been in remission ever since my first treatment. I have #5 treatment next week and the last one in August. Had no pain this time, no medicinal side effects, conducted my life in a normal way, did my farming as usual, and other normal things that one does on a daily basis, including keeping my house as my wife of almost 50 years died and I now choose to live alone. Still no re-occurrence of the stomach problem, and still pain free.
If you pay Medicare insurance premiums, which I do, and have supplemental insurance for the 20% supplemental insurance that Medicare doesn't cover, which I do, your costs are minimal. If not treatment can get very expensive!
So, sir, there is light at the end of the tunnel.....just remember the glass thing. I wasn't going to share my story with the world, but decided that in doing so I may give someone (like you) the will to push forward in spite of the current concern and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
