Hi David; Thermostats are used to regulate engine temperature for fuel economy and longest engine life. Radiator caps pressurize the coolng system to lower the boiling point. the higher the cap pressure, the more it will resist boiling under heavy load etc. The 20 degree difference should not affect anything .
