Truck tires are generally installed as a USED tire, not purchased new. Reason being is because they are cheap or free.
It's getting harder to find used 16" pickup truck tires. They used to be everywhere, but pickup trucks have been coming with 17", 18" and 20" tires for at least 10 years now, probably more. Used 15" pickup truck tires are just about impossible to find.
Used to be you could go to a junk auction and buy a set of 4 matching 15" or 16" truck tires in great shape for $10. Now they bring $150 because everyone is looking for them.
Most of the old pickup truck tires "laying around" are over 20 years old and rotten. I've got a pile of them. They crack and split as soon as you put air to them.
If you're going to spend money on new tires, new tractor fronts will be less expensive than new pickup truck tires. Rather than tri-rib tires you might want to look into 4-rib tires or "backhoe fronts." The backhoe fronts tend to be a heavier duty tire and don't have ribs.
