Snow Plowing with Ford 2000

Using a Woods 6 foot 3-point landscape blade to plow out my 1000 foot long driveway and I keep getting stuck.

Do I need chains, wheel weights or both? Also the tractor does not have a "posi" rear end, as only one tire spins when I get stuck, should I consider changing that?

The front end also does not want to turn, it likes to keep going straight.

I am fairly new to tractor useage, so any suggestions would be appreciated.
