Which V8? If you're talking about the old early 1950's flathead Ford V8 engines which were sometimes shoved into 1940's - 1950's Ford tractors in place of the stock 4 cylinder engines, they put out roughly 100 hp at rpm levels somewhat above what you'd typically run in a tractor. On pto jobs, it should be no trouble to get 75 hp or more out of one of those. Drawbar horsepower would be considerably less due to lack of traction.
