Here on the coast of Maine we run into a yearly sub-zero stretch....we've often wondered why nobody makes those plastic tarps in black...with a little sun and one of those we'd bet you could get those few helpful degrees. Here's another thing you can do when the temp. gets extreme..(extreme conditions call for extreme tactics)...if you have a laundry room with a dryer get enough dryer vent hose to get under the tractor...a tarp over the whole works...old blankets quilts etc. on top wouldn't hurt. When you get up in the morning don't even bother trying to start it do a load or two of laundry...after that she'll start like it was June. And a lot of us tend to forget that old trick of turning on the headlights for 30 seconds or so before trying to start it.....the chemical action warms the battery slightly....sometimes just enough to be the difference.
