Hi Jimmy...we're not too familiar with this particular engine...but many diesel engines were designed with a gallery in each connecting rod that carries oil up through the rod and sprays the bottom of each piston (and the skirt) with oil..this oil was meant to remove heat from the piston back to the pan...we saw in an earlier post a question about low oil pressure...if we are talking about the same tractor...and if this engine uses the oil system noted above...low oil pressure could be at least part of the reason for it running hot.
