Don't forget to check all of the linkage pins. I was replacing the clutch on a JD 350 dozer many years ago and could not get the clutch properly adjusted despite several tries. I finally discovered that the linkage pin between the clutch pedal and the linkage rod was almost worn in two, although you could not tell it without removing the pin. So although the clutch was properly adjusted, the clutch pedal would not disengage the clutch because of the slack caused by the worn pin. I pulled the motor three times before I finally found that problem.
