There is something to be said for rebuilding the factory generator plus installing a new pulley & belt. Saves alot of head scratching frustration & sparks.
rollastarter@hotmail.com has those low rpm & ultra low rpm cut-in alternators for tractor & other low speed applications.
Depending on which internal regulator used, the two wire connector on the alternator may or maynot be internally connected.
Some single wire conversions place a slight current drain on the battery when not runnin
