Lew: You're being too kind when you say radios on open tractors are marginal at best--been there, done that, got a coffee mug! I've alway been impressed with the factory auto radios that Ford and GM put out. Went to a bone yard, got an exact copy of the radio/cassette player that's in my Ford Ranger, bought some power lead and audio lead adapters, wired them so that a stereo headset will plug in. Bought some 29Dba noise reduction earmuffs, cut apart my good Sony Walkman headset and inserted the earpieces into the muffs. Noise out, sports radio in with reception that does not get hampered depending on the direction you're traveling with the tractor. I'm so proud of this concoction I could just spit. The radio even has a digital clock.
