I guess I was not very clear in my question; sorry about that. I just started working on an old Ford I've had a while and it has guards over the valve stems on the drive wheels. These guards are about 1" X 1/4" bent flat stock and run between two rim bolts and over the valve stems. This tractor shows no signs of any hard usage or spinning of the wheels thus my question. Anyone find it neccessary to run them? These are the first of this type I've noticed on a tractor. ray
