I have a 1950 John Deere MT (originally purchased by my grandpa), and in another week I am buying the integral 2-bottom plow that Grandpa bought new with the tractor. I'm looking forward to plowing my gardens with it in a few weeks (~6,000 square feet in two plots). However, I have never plowed before (I'm really looking forward to the experience though). So, I'm looking for seasoned advice from the fine individuals populating this board. What specific things do I need to know? Since the plow is integral and my strawberry patch is at one end of one plot, I expect to back up to it, drop the plow, and have fun. Then, I'll back up for the next two furrows. I just want to hear the advice ya'll have. Thanks, Darryl (Illinois)
