What you need is somebody in your area who knows what they are doing and is willing to show you how. There are a lot of adjustments to be made that can make the difference between a good job with a nice pulling plow and a lot of work with a messed up field. Are you a member of any antique tractor clubs? Many of them have "plow days" where they get together and turn over dirt with their old tractors, just for fun. It's a good way to "pick the brains" of several guys and gain some knowledge. To me it's a lot more fun than tractor pulling because it's what the tractor was made for.
