I have run into a problem with my Ferg. TE 20. Last fall the tractor started having periods where it would seem to loose power for a few seconds, then catch again and seem fine. Engine could be cold, warm, or hot. I first thought it was bad gas and lived with it though most of the thank and then drained and checked the flow. Pencil sized stream out of the line to the carb. Put in new spark plugs, and fresh gas and the problem got worse. Loose power sometimes even die or backfire through muffler. It would always start up again sometimes using the choke. Spark seems good but haven’t been able to check spark when it looses power. Then the starter wernt out and the tractor was down for about 2 months getting a working starter that would fit. Now the starter is back in and the stalling problem remains. It has been 12 Volt for over 10 years, coil, condenser, points, plug wires, and distributer cap about 18 months ( 100 hours of use ) ago. Any ideas on where I go from here? Sorry for the long post.
