Old timer: I think the head gasket was on up side down because of the way rings in the head gasket were just backward of this one and the head gasket was blown and it got hot! also I think the valves were set wrong! It had a miss from day one we could not get rid of! I bought a carb rebuild kit too! To get the head mag net fluxed, cleaned,surfaced milled,valves ground,guides checked, springs shimmed, a head gasket set, a thermo-stat,and a full rebuild carb kit the bill was $142.06 Was that a fair deal? Now I need to put it all togather and see what happens Thanks!
