I am about to start the rebuilding process on my Grandparents old pole barn. I am going to start by only heating one smallish area (10X20) with a kerosene heater. With that theory I can heat the small area quickly and just as quickly turn it off when I'm finished for the day. When I get a little more ahead and time is on my side, (HA, HA); I'm going to install a concrete floor with hot water piping both in the concrete floor as well as the actual baseboards. I personally can't take the cold weather or dampness but I also have alot of fire wood and a small amount of coal which I would like to get rid of.
