Personally, i think a compact is too light duty for what you want to do. I think you should look at a smaller "real" farm tractor. You need a tractor with iron in it for rough loader use! Around here the Massey compacts give you the most tractor for the $$ spent, and still have some nicer features. Of the two you are looking at, i'd pick the Kubota. If you are going to spend much time on this tractor, you'll like the way a Kubota is more "refined". Keep in mind, that if you get rough with a compact tractor, you will be working on it too!! Loaders are real hard on tractors! Compacts just won't take abuse like a farm tractor, and rightly so, they weren't designed to. A farm tractor isn't priced much higher than a compact either! Robert
