Around here you can NOT dig a pond worth a darn with a dozer. The problem is, there are lots of springs in the ground, and a dozer will sink, or not be able to push anything. A drag line is the answer. The springs in my ponds make so much water, that i have a fairly big stream that leaves my place. All the water starts on my farm, and the springs keep my ponds full no matter what time of year, or how high i keep building up my dams. Of course, i realize that not every one has their ground full of springs. As the picture shows, i keep building up the banks on my ponds, and just raise the over flow to where i want it! Robert
