Hello I have a 2000 f -350 ford with a power stroke diesel motor in it. When i got the truck I took it stright to the exhast shop and got a 4" stright pipe put on it. I have never had a promblem with the motor since i have done this. Your down pipe on your turbo is going to be a tricky doing if you dont know what you are doing. I just put one of those on for a buddy of mine it took me about 2 and half hours, but Im always tinkering with someones diesel truck. If you are looking for more power i would suggest a chip. And no a chip wont burn your engine up! If you have any more questions just email me.
