You get what you pay for. A higher capacity unit charging at less than it's max rated nameplate current capacity will run cooler. A dead flat battery like what my wife ends up regularly, just before going to work because she left the interior light/head lights/makeup mirror on the night before. Takes a heavy draw even on low setting.Several times she has charged for 10 to 15 minutes, flicked it to boost & started the engine. Wouldn't purchase another charger without "boost". Too slow a charge rate will sulphate a battery, ruining it just as successfully as charging too fast.
