In addition to Bigdog's comments, you will find the engine will have a lower compression ratio to be able to run on kero etc. Don't know how Farmall got over this - whether they put up with a few less horsepower, or if the kero engine had slightly bigger bore (thats what some Olivers had)to make them more equal to the straight gas engine. No doubt the books and possibly the Nebraska tests would show this information. Anyhow, if the gas and kero engines are the same size you can expect marginally lower HP. If you have to rebuild you could maybe fit domed pistons or skim the head if you only intend using gas - although I would keep it original. Over here in Britain I definitely run on kerosine as gas prices are taxed, more taxed and even more taxed by the government. Hope it all runs OK, RAB
