Mounting in the fenders might be a little too far forward. I would suggest welding a piece of 3x5 angle to the side of the trailer a foot or so from the rear. You can use the Peterson lights available from any Wal-Mart and many other places for $6 to $8. make the long side of the angle vertical and drill the two mounting holes and a third hole for the wires. Have the 3 inch side horizontal and towards the rear. Mount your lights where the top of the lens will be just below the flat part of the angle this will protect your lights from the top and permit the side clearnce portion of the light to be visible. The vertical portion of the angle protect it when going forward your only worry will be backing into something short. On a seperate issue, you said you use a come-along to adjust your IH 37 disk. Do you mean a cable puller, chain puller or a turnbuckle. The turnbuckles are normally used in place of cylnders on some equipment where hydraulics are not available. A 10 foot disk would seem a little awkward with any of them, hope you get remote hydraulics soon. I have a 10 foot 370 we bought new. IT would be tough to turn around or make sharp corners in heavy clay cutting deep without being to pick up the disk. Are most of your fields sandy?
