Hi, all, got me a real pet peave, to do with tractors of all ages and sizes, to do with that flat peice of iron with the hole in it, that sticks out the back, between the back wheels, the one that hasn't changed since the first tractor was built to pull something, and is still hanging out the back on the newest, shinnyest, most up town, computerized, painted up, and powerfull tractor of today!! That hard to hook up to "drawbar"! Sure there are quick hitches, fast hitches, three point and all, BUT, why, with all our technology, can't there be built something that incorporates, hooking up to the impliment, ataching hydraulic lines, PTO shaft, and lite wires, while imobilizing the jack on the implement? We can fuel aircraft way up there while traveling that fast, no big deal....trains can couple up with no one putting in a "pin" they have all the controles wrapped up in an "umbilical" cord for however many locos they want, in the "old" days the steam trains even had the capabilty to take on water for the boiler, without stopping. I know I'm not the brightest candle on the cake, but I see no reason why this cannot be done, even to the extent of an after market "add on" for any and all tractors/implements. Have done a lot of "tinking" on this, even to the point of MAYBE contacting the patent office, have had dealings with them before, another story....Now if someone could convince a manufacturer to look into this......Makes me wonder how many old tractor buffs have a hard time hooking up their implements, age, disability, in my case, lazyness, that would be interested in something like this. Could be made to attach to any tractor or machine without any modification to the original equipment! Now, if someone would just give this soapbax a kick......have a gooder,R.E.L.

It increased the farm productivity and, in general, made life easier because more work could be done with this 'mechanical beast'. My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
