If you want it to look like it was mowed with a finish mower I think you'll pretty much need to use one. They're really designed for two different purposes. 'Course, you might find the quality good enough -- opinions seem to vary on this. A six-foot King Kutter finish mower will cost about $1000 around here (Mills Fleet Farm). The one I have does a good job behind my 2N and seems to hold up fine. I mow about 3 acres. I'm told that the 8N can handle a 6-footer when mowing in 3rd. On my 2N, 3rd is the road gear so I have to mow in 2nd. The 8N 3rd is a bit higher than the 2N 2nd so you'll get done faster.
