Would appreciate opinions on whether I have correctly identified the problem before I buy parts. Tractor is about 6 years old and is a 2000 series. Wife was mowing with the cub cadet 2160 and ran over a fireant hill. The pto quit. I first checked the blades and deck-o.k.; I next checked the fuses - o.k.; I disconnected the pto clutch at the pigtail connector, exposed the terminals leading from the switch, started the tractor with the switch on and checked for current with a test light. Test light show current coming to the pto clutch. My opinion is that the clutch has gone bad but wanted your opinions before I buy a new clutch. I have not checked the air gap on the clutch per the manual yet, but will before I order. What do you folks think? Thanks.
