first time messenger; Auburn, WA I've got an old 9N where the starter won't spin now, I've had it look at and for a while it did good, but not anymore. I can pull start and it works fine until I'm done, but it'd be nice to be able to start the darn thing out in the field if I choke it up using the brush hog. I'm wondering if I need to replace the whole starter or if a starter drive will work. I'm also wondering how to get the starter off, there is a drain plug on the engine that is in the way, plus I can't seem to get the starter spindle out of the fly wheel assembly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
