I really hate to give out specifics but I think in order for really good answers,I think it needs to be told.My only uncle left alive is in the Shriners, and we all know what wonderful things they do to help the kids! His unit is one of these with their little pullers and do many parades and events around the area.I thought they would fit right in their. But I also knew hoiw rowdy some of the groups can be at events.I was however very specific when Itold him that there were certain things theuy could and couldnt do at the show just based on what was always done in the past, guess icould have done more research on that end.I didnt know they were selling a pedal tractor of their own or else I would have told them not to try,I could see the problem with that since we were selling our own.As far as the loud music went yea it was loud but I saw more people dancing to "She thinks my tractors sexy" than were complaining about the volume! In fact,I did hear one lady complain about it being to loud to hear the announcements, which she was right, but was still shaking her hips to the music while she asked one of the elder members to ask them to turn it down! I m not mad at the memebrs of the club who supported them being there nor am I mad at those who didnt. That was yesrteday and ive cooled down a lot since then, but what does make me mad as he!! is that why must we give in to these rich sobs who think things should be the way they wnat it because of the contributions they make each year.I attend several shows a year, and see this each time. Some rich snob gets to put his camper where he wants or ride his golfcart when and where he wants or something along those lines.I really hate to think that this hobby is all about MONEY now.I got into to this not for money or t oknock down the other guy for his preference in tractor or even how much money one guy has.I got into for the simple family fun I have had in the past.If this is what its coming to,Im selling my tractor and moving to the North Pole!Whats really hurting me I guess,is last year at this clubs show.......I had the best time I have ever had at a tractor show!

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
