Greg; I used ny daughter's 9-N Ford on a 30 acre horse farm in Washington state,( hilly and wet) and it performed commendably. Besides the front end loader, it did a good job mowing pastures that were really rough and a real good auger for digging post holes,so it was considered a good rig. Sure, no power steering, but it handled well, though it is a might "light" in the front and it didn't handle a 3-point disk worth a damn, but I blame the disk set-up more than the tractor. So, if the price is reasonable, the condition is good, and the implements are in working order, go for it !! Lots of luck. Jim
