hi Steve, the price I told You is only for Land You can built a House on, and only my village. Industrial Zones are built on cheaper Land. Also there are villages around here where You can buy Land supported by the court of the village for appr. 35 bucks. In the Eifel Blankenheim/Pruem area You have to pay 15$. But You have to find work in Cologne 80 miles away, the Gallon Gasoline costs appr. 6$, than insurance and Tax for the car, repair and so on. Also the price for agricultural area is very different. We have a very good soil around here, where we grow Sugarbeets, Wheat, Potatoes, Aspargus and much more. But in the Eifel, 10 miles away only grows Grass, maybe You knew the Huertgen-Forest? The german Farmers are killed by this silly European-Community. 30 Years ago we had 13 Farmers, everyone of them had Cows, Pigs, chicken, Now there are 3 left. 1 is working at the german Telekom and is working there after his regular work. And 2 who live from Farming. But no cow, no pig around here. Only Horses. Prices for meat? Forget it. Milk? They spoil it end of the Year, cause they have Contingent on it, to much means less money next Year. Wheat? What for? Only Sugarbeets bring a little bit Profit. But, How long?
