Front wheel assist is nice for a loader tractor, or for the small, light, compact tractors that have more power than weight. On a bit bigger one it becomes less important, and you can just hang some weight on the back of the tractor to make up for the lack of front wheel assist. They are very spendy to fix anyhow, so you might not want aln old, early, ready to break front wheel assist model anyhow... ;) I would hope for power steering more than front wheel assist, but since it is not an issue for you, then it is not a problem to be without it. Loaders are easier to handle with it though. Sounds like that Ford will do what you want. 'Ripper' to me is a big farm implement that takes 250-300 hp, rips a foot deep, 20+ feet wide. I'll guess that is _not_ what you are doing... So it's hard for us to say 'get exactly this with exactly this much hp....' Sounds like the Ford will run the kinds of things you want to run. At 40+ hp, it will also pull a baler if you wish to at a future time. That is a bonus. --->Paul

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
