Hi JD, I am not a horse owner wannabe. While a horse is nice, I am thinking of a milk cow and such for self sufficiency. The land I seek will be in southeast Kansas and mostly flat. I am not sure what I would do with the hay crop other than feed my own cow or livestock. I am not yet aware of a market for hay. I don't know enought about hay to think that far ahead. I am still sorting out how to operate the farm (wihtout livestock) while living 90 minutes away during the week. Thanks very much for the advice on the IH tractors. I will begin studing them and their prices. Thanks, Mark
