Is it on your property? If so haul it in and lock it up. Is it on a right of way for a road, then haul it in and lock it up. He knows he is in the wrong so I doubt you would ever here from him. That would teach him a pretty good lesson about leaving a expensive item like that under a bridge. Thats what I would do anyhow and it would stop your problems and he would never know what happened. You could after a while turn it in to the local law or call them and have them come out and pick it up, say you found it sitting on the side of the road with no one around, of course when your friend gets it back he will more than likely start back up again. I think I would just lock it up and see if he comes looking for it, then you could turn it in to the local law. Probably would be best to call the law and tell them where it is and let them handle it, I still like the idea of just confiscating it for a while just too see what he would do. May not be the best thing to do but I think it would get his attention.
