Hello, My son has a 88 S10 and his would shut down and not start. Replaced the fuel filter then fuel pump still nothing. Went to Auto Zone and bought a (noid light) tester you unplug the injector at the top of the carb and plug this in and if it is fireing you will see it flash. Still couldn't catch it when it failed. Called a mechanic friend lf mine and he sugested the "rap" test. Pull the computer from under the dash and drive with it hanging there and when it fails get a screwdriver and rap it with the handle. That was it bought one at a salvage yard and it worked fine. The noid light was the main thing I wanted to tell you about. Mark
