Nathan I'm sorry if you feel I have somehow insulted your repair technique by not replying.. The main drawback to your technique in this instance is the lack of accessibility to the part, making welding the bottom bushing very difficult. The part is accessible only from above, and there is a floor panel 4 inches above the top bracket. The secondary problem is the cost of this repair in man hours. I was hoping there was an old timer's quick fix for this that I didn't know. By the way, I repaired my hoe the same way you did. Peace, sorry I came off so rude or ungreatful. Definitely not my intent. Good thing I'm not a politician or I'd be starving, evidently.
