Hard to say without seeing exactly what you have. I think I'd go with option #3. I did something similar on my backhoe. The big bracket that connects the swing motor to the boom and cylinder had egg shaped holes. I had the machinist make new pins and some 1/2" thick bushings 1 1/2" long. I cut out the egg hole in the plate and welded the bushings in. So far so good!
