I have had similar problems. I wanted to switch to LED however there are 11 lights on mine. I changed to fixtures that accepted regular bulbs and to the throw-away sealed beam for the stop/turn/tail. I've not changed a bulb now for over 2 years. Still, if money were not a big issue the LEDs seem to be the way to go.
